Getting started
If you are starting out, three things are enough: pick a tool, describe what you want to see, look at the result and refine the description.
The questions below cover where people get stuck in those three steps. See the main guide for the full account.
Frequently asked questions
Is AI image generation free?
There are free options. Bing Image Creator is completely free and never asks for payment details; Google Gemini, Leonardo AI and Ideogram give daily-renewing allowances; Stable Diffusion is free indefinitely once installed locally. Midjourney has no free tier.
Which is the best AI image tool?
It depends on the job. Midjourney for aesthetic quality, Flux for photorealism and text in images, DALL·E 3 for prompt fidelity and Turkish, Leonardo AI for free regular output, Ideogram for logos and typography, Recraft for vector output, Stable Diffusion for full control.
Can I write prompts in Turkish?
Google Gemini and DALL·E 3 understand Turkish prompts directly. Midjourney understands them but loses detail against English; Stable Diffusion barely does. Rendering Turkish text INSIDE an image is separate, and no tool is fully reliable with ğ, ş and ı.
Can I use my generated image commercially?
If your tool's and plan's terms permit it, yes. Copyright is separate: fully AI-generated images cannot be copyrighted in most countries. You can use them but will struggle to stop others doing the same.
Why do hands and text come out broken?
Models do not understand objects, they learn statistical patterns; they do not know as a rule that a hand has five fingers. Flux is markedly better here, and Ideogram is the most reliable for text. Keeping strings short and hands out of frame solves most of it.
What resolution do I need for print?
Print wants 300 DPI: roughly 2500×3500 pixels for A4 and 3500×4900 for A3. AI tools usually generate 1024–2048 pixels, so an upscaling step is almost always necessary. Inspect at one hundred per cent zoom before printing.
How do I keep the same character across images?
Midjourney's character reference (--cref) parameter is built for this. If you need complete consistency, the stronger method is training a LoRA for that character on the Stable Diffusion side. Repeating the prompt alone is not enough.
Can I generate my product photo with AI?
Do not generate the product itself: the label, packaging proportions and texture all differ, and in e-commerce the image shown must represent the product sold. The right route is shooting the product yourself and replacing only the background with AI.
